The East Webster band program (located in Maben, MS) was established in 2012. The program consists of students grades 6-12. Ensemble and performance groups within the program include a 6th grade beginner band, middle school band, HS marching band (The Marching Wolverines), HS concert band, basketball pep band, indoor winds/percussion groups, and two indoor winter guard groups.
The Marching Wolverines are 3x MHSAA State Marching Champions (2018, 2019, 2022), and all of our indoor groups have been finalists in WGI, MIA, and LMCGPC circuits. Our indoor winds group, "East Winds," have won two MIA championships (2023, 2024) and one WGI Regional Championship (2024).
Director
Clayton Brunt, Director of Bands
Clayton Brunt is in his first year as the head director of East Webster High School after spending the last three years as the assistant HS and junior high director at EWHS. He is a native of Ethel, MS and 2016 graduate of Kosciusko High School. He holds a Bachelor's in Music Education from Mississippi State University and a Master's in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University. Prior to joining the staff at East Webster, Mr. Brunt served as band director at Scott Central Attendance Center in Forest, MS. He is a member of the Mississippi Bandmasters Association and Northeast Mississippi Band Directors Association.
